Wall-Mounted Decoupler

The wall-mounted 40 litre decoupler (buffer tank) module provides additional system flexibility to the aroTHERM range because it will act as both a hydraulic nil point within the system and a low loss header, making certain system flow through the heat pump and therefore the system.

Should the system have multiple zones and/or need a further pump to support the entire heating system, the buffer tank provides a wonderful answer and is straightforward to site and install. The tank comes complete with an NTC sensor and pocket at the top of the tank also as an air bleed valve/vent to assist take away air from the system.

The four inlets may be used to link two heating sources and heat pumps into one heating set-up to form a hybrid system. In these cases, the buffer tank acts as a mixing module during which the heat pump acts because the primary heat supply with the boiler acting as a boost or taking over once the boiler becomes less cost effective and/or efficient than the heat pump.
