SATK 20 heat interface unit is the latest “intelligent” range of HIU from Altecnic, it allows for a complete solution for instantaneous hot water production along with comprehensive space heating control.

Design

The SATK20 incorporates a single plate design which allows complete hydraulic separation between domestic hot water and space heating which is supplied directly from the central primary network. With an electronic control unit that maximises efficiency while still incorporating many additional features. Operationally the “standard” unit has the capacity to set the heating flow circuit to suit the installation (radiators, UFH etc.), but crucially can also be set as a variable to adjust automatically depending on the return temperature. This allows the unit to autonomously compensate to external influences such as outside temperature, which optimises efficiency when operating the HIU. Integral to the unit is a pump bypass feature which stops “dead head” pumping when secondary loop is closed, where a pump is specified.

The SATK 20 design supports installation engineers and architects by being compact and lightweight. The HIU has a fully insulated front cover manufactured from PPE, this is inclusive of a sliding window to allow the end user to access the integral heat meter (if installed). The unit can be fitted with an external Pre-Payment module which allows the domestic hot water (DHW) and heating circuits to operate when sufficient credit is applied.
